To tag or not to tag that is the question!

Ahh new at this blogging game- I only know 2 people who read my blog! (and feel comfortably to "tag" but here goes eight things you say hmm (brain is working overtime !)

1: When I was ten I set off the fire alarm by throwing a tennis ball at it and didn't admit to it!

2: I was a Cub instructor when I was sixteen

3: I had a passion for cheese and honey sandwich with pickle onions and I wasn't pregnant - honest!

4: I am a left hand but I iron and knit right handed - don't ask

5: I love to cook - and make some mean chicken nuggets!

6: I am a book worm

7: I love to walk and swim but hate jogging and cannot hit a tennis ball with racket

8: Now for the real mushy bit: not only do I have a great husband and family, but I am lucky enough to extended my family with my childminding children on a daily basis!

Okay thats 8 things I am prepare to admit to!

I admitted to only 2 people to tag but I cannot do one othem as she only 13! and thats not fair
and the other is Gill but have fun reading anyway!

you never guess what happened to me - yesterday..

...Amazing, the NHS total transform people from friends you thought you knew to ....

Lets start at the beginning Gill my best friend asked me to accompany her to a hospital appointment which as a good friend said yes with out thinking as you do (nothing life threatening, well her cyst is going to cop it, but its a freeloader anyway!)she introduce me to the "poor" registrar (yes poor - by the time we finished with her!) as her partner then tried to dig her way out by saying we were married - ..... wait for it! to different men - the appointment took a downturn - just let say we probably the talk of the staff canteen - and we really made her day! She even told us we had to be serious - ha! I decide to take it easy in the waiting for a while why is it waiting room magazine's - are full of the thick glossy mags and you never get chance to finish the article and you can't buy it to finish because it was October some when!

Well partner I promised to tell you the truth if your bum does look big in that dress, or compliment you if you just done your hair, take responsibility of the children even if they done something bad and just be there for the next hospital appointment - because, it really made me laugh!!

(Thanks for your comments - "partner" - thinking about it!)

As I have mentioned before I am a childminder, well today I was put well and truly in my place, a little girl was doing some drawings (and boy, does she do a forest of them!) well I asked if she could draw me a picture for my collection - her reply is no thank you beccy (well mannered I pleased to say) but here's one for K (husband) not much I could say really - said picture given to "husband" now being displayed on mantle piece! Husband smug smile - cheers husband - dinner in the dog!

Tuesday 20 January 2009

Well here we are folks, yep ready and armed with black bin liners on Sunday morn nearer lunch time (wishing I was the Mary Poppins and wishing I could click my fingers and everything would go tidily into its correct place!) I stood at the door way of my much loved son's bedroom, and yes it took me 5 hours to tidy, shuffle & groan about the amount of junk he accumulated and I still didn't loose my temper!! But it was done and I was really pleased with all my hard back breaking work and dead chuffed with the layout! ( 3 bags of later - but does included sorting through the childminding paper box and art kit - stored in said room)

Then S walked in say hey cool mum and opening his drawers and doors saying hmm not bad ( not bad they were perfect!) that's when the red mist started to settle! Son was thumb tacked to bed ceiling!

When do you get rid of those toys - when you say ahh you had this when you a baby and what do you do with them? Mine placed (artfully) back on top of the wardrobe, ready for the next dusting down!

Ka decide to do her room , as I had threatened hers was next in line, I am constantly reminding her to keep putting things away and the wardrobe is not located on the floor, but is the box with those meatal hanging things in, I am pleased to say it only took an hour to do! (bad enough) and I was glad to say she kept the noble tradition of only sweeping the middle of the floor! (Mum went round the edges and explained patienltly AGAIN how you swept the side of the room) , well I live in hope more like forever hopeful

Well S is now off the ceiling and both children are under no illusions the bedroom are to kept tidy - well until the next time - I suppose! The question remains will I have the heart to not put said baby toys (artfully arranged) back on wardrobe!

The next project should be the office and paperwork - they do say lead by example - nah cup of tea and biscuit barrel sounding much better!

Saturday 17 January 2009

Well I finally on here, my "best friend" set me this blog a few weeks ago, due to me avoiding the computer and my husband being ill, my children and general life, I have manage to avoid coming onto the computer!!

May I just set the record straight before I go any further! As I said my friend set this blog up, I'm not a Mary Poppins and I'm ok at cooking and housework, but I just like the rest of you, and often if you look can see the cobwebs in the corner (next year Christmas decorations!!) right that off my chest lets see if we can get the real picture of me!!

According to my children I am positively old (35!) I have right bit to resemble a human being and sometimes can have a couple of horns appear out of my head!! but most of the time the halo just slips really badly! For the last 4years I have been childminder and people allow me look after their children! amazing! which I really enjoy! (hate the paperwork and red tape! see told you I wasn't a Mary Poppins) I also have a family a husband (K) and two children (Ka) and (S). Ka she is now turning into a senior school child (she really lovely and growing into a young lady) which is really scary and S is just 9 he just lovely and still very cuddly (making the most of it!) and we have just a few pets who you probably meet as we go on!

I decide this year, on New Years Eve, is not to set my self new year resolutions, normally I fail by January, the only thing I have of my self and to have more faith in myself and to set more realistic task for my self!! (oh and to keep on top of the housework -another thing to prove I am not Mary Poppins!) well that the idea - I let you know how I get on!

This weekend I intend to a attack the children bedrooms with large black bags(didn't get chance before Christmas!) the results will be here and if the children are still alive, when I have finished!

Well that's a little about me and hopefully dispelled a few myths look forward to writing my next blog - and letting you know about the "attack of the children's bedrooms"
